Check out Binghamton University's Mountainview residence halls for example - pictured best alongside its landscape of opportunity featuring open blue skies and a beach volleyball court waiting to be enjoyed.

Exterior Views for NYC Public Schools
The NYC School Construction Authority has been hard at work building and annexing public schools across New York City. Meanwhile, Jon Reis Photography continues to document the finished architecture for their website and gallery of projects at their Long Island City headquarters. What you cannot see here is the telephone pole and many overhead wires that we removed with digital retouching to make the primary view outstanding and uncluttered.

Get the Glow: Lighting Building Exteriors at Dusk
Photographing exteriors at dusk provides an opportunity to bring a building to life with color and contrast. In this image, the Cayuga Medical Center becomes a warm sanctuary, inviting patients into a comfortable atmosphere. Not to mention, the addition of a tranquil water-side reflection works only to further this impression.

We find it fitting that the Cornell Lab of Ornithology be photographed within its surrounding environment. Jon Reis Photography jumped in a rowboat to get this shot with the building exterior reflected and greenery framing the building.

Through expertise in lighting at specific times of day, Jon Reis Photography chose this shadowed wall with an interesting light fixture to add a unique element to the portrait. Through the combination of Craig's personality and Jon Reis Photography's vision, an original depiction of a creative professional emerges.

Developing a Sense of Place and Structure
Gates Hall represents the information science community at Cornell University through its architectural design. Jon Reis Photography made sure to capture this essence for Building Design + Construction Magazine by spotlighting the building's unique characteristics. The large windows are a key feature of the structure because they create bright, open spaces, ideal for the free-flow of energy and ideas. We accentuated this design concept along with many others through various photographic techniques, including choice of lens, perspective, and exposure control.
